EMDR Therapy

Red Poppy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, proven method of psychotherapy which has been shown to reduce the intensity of traumatic memories. It is a non-invasive therapy which uses eye movements or other bilateral stimulation to help the brain process the trauma in a new and less distressing way.

I now offer EMDR Therapy for the treatment of: PTSD, panic attacks, grief and loss, phobias, pain disorders, stress and anxiety, addiction, sexual or physical abuse, disturbing memories, and eating disorders.

EMDR therapy incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches into a standard protocol which has been researched extensively. It has been found to decrease or eliminate disturbing symptoms. Research by the American Psychiatric Association, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and The World Health Organization have proven its effectiveness.
